Roman Catholic Linebacker Moody Accepts Offense-Defense All-American Bowl Invitation

Offense-Defense Sports is proud to announce today that stand-out linebacker Nick Moody from Roman Catholic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has officially accepted his invitation to play and participate in the second-annual Offense-Defense All-American Bowl as a member of Team East. Moody, who lists the president he admires most as being Bill Clinton, likes to draw in his spare time and plans to major in Business at Florida State. Sean Taylor was his idol.

Nick will be joining 88 of the finest high school football players from across the United States tabbed to make their mark on national television January 4th, 2008 at Orange Bowl Stadium in Miami, FL. The teams will be divided into East and West squads, both coached by a cadre of the most qualified personnel available including legendary ex-NFL wide receiver and current HBO football analyst Cris Carter. The game will be broadcast live nationwide by Fox College Sports and will feature various celebrities in attendance such as 2007 Miss America Lauren Nelson on hand to sing the national anthem, former Dallas Cowboy legend Nate Newton providing color commentary, and many, many more.

Last year's inaugural event was a hard-hitting affair that saw Team East come away with a hard-fought 28-14 victory over the West squad. Current Florida Gator backup quarterback and star-in-the-making Cameron Newton walked away with MVP honors in the contest which featured a bevy of players who are currently making their mark in the NCAA Division-I ranks.
