Here are a few notes from the last week or so in Florida football...
**James Slonina, who filed a complaint against Jamar Hornsby for using his deceased daughter Ashley's credit card over the last six months, gave an interview to the (Panama City) News Herald's Josh Weinfuss regarding the case. He told the newspaper that Coach Urban Meyer phone him to express his disappointment with Hoensby's behavior. Here's the article.
**Former Gator Jerimy Finch has enrolled at the University of Indiana, according to the school's on-line student directory. Finch is supposed to sit out the 2008 season per transfer rule but might appeal to the NCAA for a hardship case, which would allow for him to play right away.
**Dee Finley's coach at Auburn High in Alabama told rivals.com that Finley continues his fight to qualify academically to play at Florida this fall. Check here for more information.
**Gators RB Chris Rainey competed in the 100 meters in the SEC Track and Field Championships last weekend at Auburn. Running in heat 3-of-3, Rainey clocked a 10.74 time, which left him out of the event's finals. Teammate Wondy Pierre-Louis did not run or jump in this year's event, according to results on the SEC's web site.
