The NFL combine starts today for five former Auburn players, but most of the early action will be words, not play.
Workouts don't begin until Friday, and that's mainly for special teams.
Offensive lineman Lee Ziemba will be the first Tiger up, and he'll be showcased Saturday.
Joining Ziemba from the Auburn camp will be running back Mario Fannin, receiver Darvin Adams, defensive lineman Nick Fairley and headliner and quarterback Cam Newton as their positions take the field in the dog-and-pony show that runs through Tuesday.
Newton will be the most-talked about player, though Fairley, at least right now, may be the first pick of the draft. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. has Fairley as the first pick. He has Newton at No. 7.
Newton is one of 18 quarterbacks at the combine. Fannin, something of a surprise invitee considering he rushed for 395 yards last season, is one of 39 running backs. Fifteen running backs were drafted last year. The NFL will look at Fannin as an all-around back because of his ability to run, block and catch.
